News Corp sells MySpace for £22M ($35M) to Specific Media

It would appear that News Corp has sold off social networking site MySpace to an advertising company, Specific Media. Is this a knee jerk reaction to the Google +1 launched yesterday? Surely selling something so vast must have taken more than a day unless Murdoch of News Corp knew about the launch of Google +1 in advance and decided to cut his loses before it was too late. Just seems like too much of a coincidence that one happens the day after the other!

Is MySpace even still going?! Never got in to it in the first place but I know it has died massively over the years, does anyone still use it?
